Summer Intern Job Description
Position Description: Summer College Intern Effective Date: June 4, 2012. BIG
HOUSE TEXAS is looking to hire a college intern to help assist at camps that run every
weekend during the summer 2012, beginning June 14, and running through July 29,
2012. Those who are interested in ministry are strongly encouraged to apply. BIG
HOUSE TEXAS provides a Jr. High mission work camp experience for those in the
Texas Annual Conference and beyond. We have been providing a quality work camp
experience for students and adults for over 15 years.
Qualifications:
*Must be a current Junior or Senior college student, and preferably 20 years or older.
*Flexible schedule, be able to attend camp in its entirety beginning Thursday through
Sunday mornings every week.
Compensation:
Base pay of $3000.00
Travel and cell stipend of $1500.00
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Constant communication with Executive Director throughout the entirety of camp.
*Assist Camp Directors and Programs staff of each camp in the set up of their camp.
*Work closely with Camp Director to help problem solve throughout camp.
*Make sure that each camp is running smoothly.
*Be visible, get to know campers, and observe and make notes of what works and what
may need to be altered at camps.
Skills Desired:
*Strong Christian faith, and the willingness to share it with others
*A basic knowledge of BIG HOUSE is a plus!
*Superior communication skills
*Basic knowledge of MS Office and basic technological skills
